Rejuvenate your skin and Facial appearance

If you want to achieve a fresher, younger and natural look, it is important to assess your face at three different levels.

  • 1. Epidermis (surface skin layer) With ageing and sun damage, the common surface changes are; dry dull scaly surface, uneven colour (due to freckling and build up of old dead cells) and fine wrinkling due to thinning of the epidermis.
  • 2. Dermis (beneath the epidermis, made up of collagen and hyaluronic acid) As the dermis thins out it produces deeper wrinkles, lines and troughs.
  • 3. Subcutaneous fat and muscle layers. Loss of subcutaneous fat leads to deeper lines and troughs. These can usually be improved with filler injections. Muscles of facial expressions bunch the skin up and produce the very familiar and often unwanted deep lines associated with; frown lines, forehead lines, crows feet, or small lip lines. These lines and grooves are very effectively treated with muscle relaxing injections and dermal filler injections.

Every face is different, and each person with issues relating to facial aging have their own individual areas of concern. At Skin Doctor SA, we offer a no-charge, no obligation consultation and assessment to discuss your concerns and to offer you sound, scientifically-based advice and information on available treatment options. We are an ethical cosmetic skin clinic, run by experienced medical professionals.
